(Senior) Product Developer - Women Underwear (m/w/d) China

You love turning an idea into a finished product – and fit, fabric behavior, and construction are second nature to you? And on top of that, you have a sharp eye for design and know instinctively which samples fit a brand's DNA?

As our (Senior) Product Developer – Women's Underwear (m/f/d) based in China, you are our eyes and hands in the market: you develop and refine our women's underwear directly where it's made, select samples and materials on-site, and make sure every product not only fits perfectly but also looks and feels like SNOCKS. You work independently and close to our suppliers, while staying connected with our HQ in Germany – where final approvals are made. Your Responsibilities

• End-to-end product development: You independently develop new styles in women's underwear – creating measurement charts, gradings, and production-ready technical sketches, and selecting suitable materials. You keep all technical data up to date in our PLM system for seamless documentation.

• Design & sample selection: You scout showrooms, fairs, and supplier collections on-site, identify samples and trends that match the SNOCKS DNA, and bring commercial design thinking into every product decision – this role is not purely technical, it's also about design.

• Fit & quality: You build a consistent fit logic for our underwear, coordinate sample rounds, evaluate construction and fit, and give constructive feedback to get the best out of every sample. You continuously improve existing styles through better construction and fit optimization.

• On-site supplier management: You are our direct link to our manufacturing partners in China. You visit suppliers regularly on-site, solve issues where they arise, and keep quality and timelines on track.

• Interface to HQ: You align with our teams in Germany (Buying, Quality, Creative) in regular but lean touchpoints – you work independently on-site, while final product approvals are made at our HQ. You also travel to Germany from time to time for key alignments and collection milestones.

• Timings & processes: You monitor sample statuses, ensure all milestones are met, and make sure everything is delivered on time and in line with the collection plan.

Your Profile

• Education: A completed degree or vocational training in apparel engineering, fashion design, or textile engineering – ideally with a focus on pattern making and product development.

• Experience: At least 4 years of professional experience in the technical development of women's underwear. You've owned fit and quality end to end and know the entire process from first sketch to bulk production.

• Design sense: You have a strong eye for design and commercial appeal – you can walk into a showroom and immediately spot which samples fit our brand.

• Tools: You are confident working with PDM/PLM systems (ideally Delogue) and Adobe Illustrator – Illustrator is a must-have for creating technical sketches and visualizing construction details.

• Technical know-how: Solid expertise in pattern making, materials, construction techniques, fit optimization, and size development, plus confident handling of measurement charts and gradings.

• Independence & ownership: You work self-directed, take full responsibility for your products, and reliably drive projects to the finish line with close alignment with HQ.

• Communication: You collaborate at eye level with different stakeholders – from local suppliers to our teams in Germany – in fluent English; Mandarin is a strong plus.

• Location & travel: You are based in China, ideally in or around Shanghai, and are willing to travel regularly within China (mostly day trips to suppliers) as well as occasionally to Germany.
